Declan Maher

An integral part of the operation from its earliest days, Ciaron’s brother Declan is a wonderful horseman and trainer in his own right, who has been the engine room of the Ballarat stables for a number of years.

Although he was officially recognised as our Ballarat Assistant Trainer in April 2023, he has played a huge role in the training of many of our top horses, particularly the jumps team who he passionately prepares each year.
