Deep Field x Flamenco Girl '17 filly

Sire: Deep Field

Dam: Flamenco Girl (Snitzel)

Type: Yearling Filly

This well-balanced filly has plenty of strength and a purposeful, driving walk. She is bred and built to go fast and early. By the lighting quick Deep Field and out of a pre-Christmas winning two-year-old Snitzel mare who placed in the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes in her second start, it would be no surprise to see this filly back for the 2020 edition of the Magic Millions two-year-old Classic. Ciaron was taken by her attitude and was happy to be the last one standing at $200,000 to secure this precocious filly.

With the Northern Meteor sire line creating waves around the world through the feats of his potent son Zoustar, he looks to have unearthed another exciting stallion prospect in Deep Field. With already 15 individual winners to his name from his first crop of 2 year-olds to run including Group 3 Pago Pago Stakes winner Cosmic Force, Group 2 Karrakatta Plate winner Dig Deep, the impressive Magic Millions Ballarat two-year-old Clockwise Classic winner Hawker Hurricane, Deep Field has also produced black-type performers Spaceboy, Xilong and Deep Sea. This filly’s black-type dam Flamenco Girl is by Snitzel who, as the dam sire, is already responsible for the Golden Slipper winning Mossfun.

Hailing from a wonderful farm Daandine Stud in Queensland, the vendors of this filly have already produced the Magic Millions and Golden Slipper winner Capitalist, a graduate from this sale a few years ago as well as leading young sire Written Tycoon.
